Zombie Borderline Guide — Inspection, Combat & How to Survive Every Night
Zombie Borderline is a quarantine checkpoint survival game on Roblox that blew up in late January 2026. It's not just another zombie shooter — the game splits into two distinct phases: daytime refugee inspection and nighttime zombie combat. Think Papers Please meets zombie survival.
This guide covers the full gameplay loop, every diagnostic tool, the wound identification system, combat strategies, and how to manage your cash economy.
How Zombie Borderline Works
The game runs on a day/night cycle:
Day Phase → Inspect Refugees → Vote on Infections → Night Phase → Fight Zombies → Earn Cash → Repeat
During the day, refugees arrive at your quarantine checkpoint. Your job is to use medical diagnostic tools to figure out who's infected and who's clean. Vote to let clean refugees through and flag infected ones. Get it wrong, and you're letting zombies into the safe zone.
At night, the zombies come. You grab your weapons and fight off waves of undead. Earn cash from kills, spend it on better gear, and survive until morning.
The Inspection System (Day Phase)
This is what makes Zombie Borderline unique. You have four diagnostic tools in your hotbar:
How to Diagnose Refugees
Open your Diagnostic Guide (slot 1) to see the wound identification chart. When you X-ray a refugee, you'll see one of these results:
Other infection signs:
Voting System
After inspecting a refugee, you vote:
Getting it right earns you trust and keeps the checkpoint safe. Letting an infected refugee through means trouble during the night phase.
Combat System (Night Phase)
When night falls, zombies attack the checkpoint. The game shifts to first-person combat.
Starting Weapons
You begin with a spiked baseball bat (nail bat) in slot 5 — a melee weapon that gets the job done early but won't carry you forever.
Buying Better Weapons
A vendor tent appears with weapon packs. The Starter Pack includes a Shotgun + Ammo. As you earn more cash, better weapons become available.

FAQ
What is Zombie Borderline about?
It's a quarantine checkpoint survival game on Roblox. During the day, you inspect refugees using medical tools to identify zombie infections. At night, you fight off zombie waves with weapons. Think Papers Please meets Left 4 Dead.
How do I tell if a refugee is infected?
Use your diagnostic tools: X-Ray Scanner reveals wounds, Thermometer checks for fever, and the Diagnostic Guide shows you what each wound type means. Bite Marks and Dark Vein Scratches = definitely infected. Bruises and Red Spots = suspicious, investigate further.
What's the best weapon in Zombie Borderline?
The Minigun (600 gold) is the strongest wave-clear weapon. If you can't afford it yet, the Gunslinger (350 gold) is the next best thing. Early game, the Shotgun Starter Pack is your first priority upgrade from the nail bat.
How do I earn cash fast?
Kill every zombie during night waves (+30 each), make correct inspection votes during the day, and don't waste cash on unnecessary purchases early. Save for S-tier weapons.
How many nights are there?
The game goes at least to Night 15+ based on current gameplay footage. Waves keep getting harder with no confirmed cap.
